Invest In YOU
I’ve come to realise the importance of investing in yourself as a Woman.
It’s really important to establish yourself as an individual whether or not you are single or you are in a relationship.
As a single woman, who is growing in her independence. I’m learning to become more self-sufficient.
The way I do this is by taking care of my body, looking after my appearance and by reading books. Reading books is one of the tools I use to expand on my knowledge on a particular subject.. which leads me to my next point. I recently finished reading Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki and can honestly say this is one of the best books I’ve ever read. It has so many nuggets of wisdom that it has helped to expand and shift my mindset. It teaches you about why financial intelligence is so important. Financial intelligence separates the rich from the middle class and poor. The book uses the term ‘mind your business’ which means to work your 9-5 and have a business on the side. It explains that most people are driven by fear and greed, and that in order to be rich you must learn to master these emotions. This is the book that they should base economics on in school. It teaches you what you wish you learnt about money when you were younger. I will even go as far as saying that the knowledge I have received is answered prayer. I can honestly say that this book has made me not only think differently about money but about life in general. Its encouraged me to look for opportunities everywhere.
There’s definitely a reason it’s a Bestseller and I definitely would recommend it to anyone. I don’t believe you can read this book without growing. Which brings me back to my first point, don’t be shy, invest in yourself. Develop your skills.
You’ll be surprised of what you can do when you take a chance on you!
