Editing - How Many Rewrites Is Enough? : April Grace

I’m not a poet, nor do I write short stories or flash fiction. I am a novelist at heart. I especially love big, epic fantasy stories (especially young adult fantasy fiction), so your experience as a writer may well be different to mine. But one thing I’ve learned over the ten years or so that I’ve been writing novel-length fiction, is that editing and rewriting your work is extremely important. I am simply sharing my experience, so don’t feel too disheartened if you don’t do this. But the more I’ve developed myself in writing novels in the past, the more I’ve enjoyed the experience.

My name is Nishat Ahmed, and I’m a graduate in English Literature. I’ve also recently become a Literature Admin Intern at Sapphire Community Group.
