The Sapphire Employability Academy (SEA) programme is designed to help young people gain access to work, accredited training and gain leadership development. SEA was established to develop active citizenship skills among young people aged 15-30 years from disadvantaged backgrounds for residents in Greenwich, Hackney, Lambeth, Islington and Tower Hamlets. Unemployment rates are on the rise and us at Sapphire are trying to reduce the rates and give young people the independence and freedom to thrive.

SEA aims to provide personal development and career opportunities to disadvantaged young people and their families, particularly those who are NEET or who have been stigmatised by negative experiences. The programme also aims to support young people from similar backgrounds who already have a passion for a particular cause and who need additional support to turn their personal passions into building their own business. Moreover we are supporting young people who struggle with mental health issues to gain work and to build their confidence. Anxiety and many other disorders can sometimes be a limitation but at Sapphire, we show these young people how to many of their fears and how to use it as a fuel for strength and power.
