SAPPHIRE BOAT RAVE

“To unite our world through music”

Rave comes from the Greek word ‘Halal’ which means to shine, rave and to worship even to the point of appearing foolish.

SCG has constructed Rave to be a night where we all come together in unity and have fun. We would have our gospel grime, Afro beats, house, pop, country; you name it, we have it. A night where we celebrate the dawning of a year and give God thanks for how far we have come and for the dreams we plan to achieve next year. It is a night we let our hair down and enjoy the beauty of true music. There will be entertainment, food and drinks.

Key Information

FIRE

Why the name FIRE? Because fire is one of the most powerful elements; If you are in its way, it can burn you. It is so bright. It has so much passion. It has so much energy. Many fear it. Many run from it.

Young girls you are powerful! You have so much in you that the world wants to see. You will create a legacy and change the world, as we know it but you must learn to love and believe in yourself; which is what we aim to do here at Sapphire. We would work on your external, internal, skills and talents.

Sunday 30th September is a day we celebrate women. To celebrate all you have achieved. We will have beauty stalls, hair, makeup, clothing, health and fitness, craft and jewellery. Women who have published books, magazines and artwork. The day would consist of music, poetry and women speakers. There would be food and drink. A day we unite women through their talents and remind them that they are beautiful inside and out.

PUSH

PUSH means you will keep pushing yourself even when you want to give up. Even when it means that you are giving life all you have but there are no hopeful results. It is a metaphor to symbolise resilience, tenacity and determination.

Not only would we empower young people's work, but also teach you free of charge how to cultivate the artistic talents within. We have sessions for Under 5s, Under 12s, 13-17 and 18 up.

Art tells a story. Art liberates. Art unites homes. Art expresses. Art heals. Art is therapy. Art is life. We want to educate and empower our world through the beauty of Art. Its called PUSH, because it pushes all the pain, negativity and creates the image of hope.

Join us for a whole day of art. A day to celebrate generations of legacies.

Additionally, there will be an art evening show starting from 5-9 where there will be food, drinks, entertainment, talks from the artists, poetry, music and artists work on sale.
